If we stay with a 6-2 we would need either Tanner or Finau to move into the vacant setter spot and two of the Fr/RS Fr. to step into the lineup as hitters. It sounds like the three just signed are the real deal as they are all top 20 recruits. I could see next year's lineup looking like Strickland at L, Tanner and Beals at S, Vansant, Nelson, DeHoog and a freshman at OH and Sybeldon and Wade in the middle.Robertnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422132707303068153.post-81386444658128875982013-11-19T20:25:41.961-08:002013-11-19T20:25:41.961-08:00UW will be a 1st-2nd round location. The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee chooses the 64 tournament participants (count on at least 6 from the Pac-12), and then designates the top 16 (heavily--though not exclusively--determined by the final RPI ranking.) Those 16 seeds host the first two rounds of the tournament. Washington would have to go 0-4 in its final four matches (@ Stanford, @ Cal, Oregon St, Washington St) to fall out of the top 16. The locations for the 3rd/4th rounds are selected more than a year in advance; this time it's USC, Illinois, Kentucky and Nebraska (Omaha). As you mention, the Final Four is at Seattle's Key Arena, which in no way prevents the Huskies from being a Top 16 seed and 1st/2nd round host. The tournament bracket will be revealed a week from Sunday.Jack Hamann | Leslie Hamann, nolittlethings.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18046749486153187281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422132707303068153.post-85568988457622969972013-11-19T20:03:32.588-08:002013-11-19T20:03:32.588-08:00Is there a possibility that UW will be a location ...Is there a possibility that UW will be a location for a 1st round or is that not even an option since the finals are here?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
