I liked how she mentioned that serving her just helped her hitting rhythm...at times I was just watching her play past-set-hit with Tanner, who'd simply set elsewhere if they camped on Courtney. It's great to have balanced hitting but it's even better when you have a Terminator to open everyone up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422132707303068153.post-59923243265744309252016-10-17T21:03:29.418-07:002016-10-17T21:03:29.418-07:00Leslie and Jack, Great to see a post on here! This has been a fun year so far with a lot more parity across both the Pac-12 and NCAA in general. Seems like you never know who's going to win on any given night no matter who the teams are. Good for volleyball in my opinion.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15270334011753003049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3422132707303068153.post-7593341969315901622016-10-12T09:21:38.408-07:002016-10-12T09:21:38.408-07:00we were in Portland, and had planned to attend bot...we were in Portland, and had planned to attend both volleyball matches plus football game. However with the late start time of 8PM, plus a 1 and 1/2 hour drive each way from Eugene, figure by the time we got back to bed, wouldn't have much time for sleep before heading back for football game. We did attend the Ore St game on Sunday.
I thought Keegan Cook sent a very loud and clear message to both Scambray and MacPherson in the Cal game, when he made Scambray the Libero for the first two sets. And I wasn't hoping Kara was hurt bad, but I kind of wanted to watch Kameron McLain.

For a while last season Tia figured out how to get the ball in front of her and she was lethal, but it looks like she's regressed . . . although she's been designated clean-up hitter in this early season of sketchy passing.

Krista Vansant helping in practice is kind of a story to me . . . when they have time to practice.

Never get tired of watching Schwan 'use her eyes' in the McLaughlin tradition. A kill's a kill. Love it when Holly McPeak calls games and recognizes Courtney's beachy 'mom ball'. That roll shot from the 10 foot line late in set three was cool.

Oregon's libero Amanda Benson was a big reason everybody but Courtney was getting dug. It's nothing but good for Shayne to play against elite liberos like Benson, Taylor Formico, etc.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
