Farny: Family of Champions
Over the weekend, Wittenberg
University captured its first NCAA women’s championship, winning the
Division 3 volleyball title in St. Louis. The Tigers beat Christopher Newport University
of Newport News, VA, 3-0.
The Tigers’ Catherine
Farny is one of six seniors on a team which became the first Ohio school to
win an NCAA volleyball crown at any level. But she is not the first Farny to win a NCAA volleyball title.

Carolyn Farny,
Catherine’s sister, was a member of the University
of Washington’s 2005 Division 1 National Championship Team. For the past
several years, Caroline has been the color commentator for University of Washington
volleyball broadcasts, this season on UWTV.
