In the annual Nike Big Four tourney, Texas was the big winner, beating both Penn State and Stanford. Stanford also lost to Florida, while Penn State beat the Gators.

San Diego continues to impress, adding wins over Iowa State and Illinois to a previous victory at Hawai’i and a narrow loss to Texas.

The Pac-12 did poorly in marquee matches. Besides the Stanford losses, Hawai’i beat UCLA, while Oregon and Oregon State both lost to Michigan and Michigan State. As usual, however, none of these matches were on the home floor of the Pac-12 school—power teams from other conferences rarely ever agree to come west (or, in Hawai’i’s case, east) during nonconference.

Washington dropped one spot, as Texas and Florida vaulted ahead, and Stanford dropped behind.
