The marquee matchup in the Pac-12 this weekend is California at Oregon Friday night. The Bears were swept in LA, then looked less than dominant at home against the Arizona schools. Oregon still has just one conference loss (to Washington), and must win big home matches to be a contender. Look for this match to go five sets, with Cal prevailing.
Stanford can't overlook Oregon State, and may catch a break if the Ducks lose a heartbreaker to Cal and fail to bounce back. If the Ducks do beat Cal, I think they can take Stanford, too. If Oregon loses to the Bears, it may lose to the Cardinal. I'm going to say OSU takes one set from both Cal and Stanford, and that the Ducks prevail against the Cardinal.
UCLA and USC are in the desert; both should sweep ASU, and UCLA might drop a single set to Arizona, but the LA schools should head home without a loss.
I can't see a Washington letdown against the Rockies schools, expect two 3-0 sweeps. This is an important weekend for WSU, I look for them to win both, though not without a struggle against Utah.
