NCAA | Top 5: Washington among elite in week 9 coaches’ poll

Washington (17-2) remains in the top five

For the fifth week in a row, five Pac-12 teams are among the top seven in the weekly coaches’ poll is conducted by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

• The top 12 are unchanged from last week.
• Hawai’i keeps getting love, even though it plays in a weak conference.
• A very strong BYU team picked up only its second loss of the season, and got punished too much.
• Kansas beat Kansas State this weekendd. Kansas has a (slightly) better record than Kansas State. Naturally, coaches ranked Kansas lower than Kansas State.
• Illinois finally—finally!—dropped from the poll. Ohio State should be next.
• How about a little more love for Miami?
