VIDEO | Are service errors part of serving tough? Jim McLaughlin explains

QUICK SET with Coach Jim McLaughlin for the week of October 15, 2012

The more you know about the how and why of volleyball, the more fun it is to watch and play.

This week, Washington had its first setback of the season, dropping a 3-1 decision at Oregon.

In that match, Washington committed 14 service errors.

In a Volleyblog Seattle exclusive video, Washington Coach Jim McLaughlin sits down for a conversation about how players can serve tough without serving errors. He also talks about the serving approach of freshman Katy Beals, who leads the Pac-12 in service aces per set.

Watch, too as McLaughlin shares:
  • His thoughts about why so many freshmen are starting in the Pac-12
  • Why volleyball teams win more often at home than on the road.
